Loosely based around a true story, Killer Elite tells the tale of a retired SAS officer who gets forced back into action when his mentor gets kidnapped by a gang of brutal assassins, and has just had its first official trailer released online; which can now be seen below.
Starring Jason Statham (The Mechanic) as the SAS operative, Robert De Niro (Heat) as his mentor, and Clive Owen (Children of Men) as the leader of the band of assassins, Killer Elite looks like a throwback to the classic action movies of the 1980s, and seems as though it will pack in tons of action when it’s released on September 23rd in both the US and UK.
