Since scoring a handful of rave reviews ahead of its imminent Sundance screening debut, director Eli Roth (Hostel) has begun promoting his next film himself; by releasing the first teaser trailer for psychological horror film Knock Knock (now available to view below) on his own Facebook page.
Starring Keanu Reeves, Knock Knock sees a wealthy, happy, family man working at home alone one Father’s Day when a pair of lovely young ladies happen to knock on his door looking for shelter from a storm, and proceed to seduce him before turning his life upside down by playing a number of darkly twisted games with him, and his family.
Less like Hostel, and more like Fatal Attraction, Knock Knock is a thriller likely to bring much more psychological horror than actual violence, and judging by early reports should be well worth checking out once it eventually scores distribution, and is finally given an official release date (as it’s currently lacking a release date in both the US and UK).
