Less a trailer and more of a flashback explaining what’s happened in the four previous movies (before briefly looking at the new film), a new trailer/featurette has just been released promoting the upcoming fifth Resident Evil movie, Resident Evil: Retribution, and is now available to view below.
Proving a great way in for anyone who’s not familiar with the popular zombie movie franchise, which is based on the video games of the same name, the video features Milla Jovovich’s Alice explaining the journey she’s been through so far, and that the dastardly umbrella corporation (who’s responsible for the global zombie outbreak in the films) is now more powerful than ever.
Once again directed by Jovovich’s husband Paul W.S. Anderson, Resident Evil: Retribution sees the returning Jovovich cast alongside Michelle Rodriguez, Boris Jodjoe, Sienna Guillory, Oded Fehr, and Kevin Durand (Real Steel), and will undoubtedly feature a lot of bullets, zombies, and some tight outfits for our heroine, when it receives its 3D release (a wise choice considering how impressive and essential the 3D was to Resident Evil: Afterlife) on September 14th in the US, before making its official UK release date on September 28th,.
