Coming from director John Hillcoat (The Road), Lawless is based on the true life tale of three bootlegging brothers during the prohibition era in the United States, has been adapted from Matt Bondurant’s novel, and recently had a few new images released online; which, along with a clip from the film, are now available to view below.
Following the three bootlegging Bondurant brothers (played by Transformers’ Shia LaBeouf, Warrior’s Tom Hardy, and Brotherhood’s Jason Clarke) as they attempt to step up their game, start dealing with a ruthless gangster (Gary Oldman, The Dark Knight), and soon find a special agent (Guy Pearce, Prometheus) on their tail, Lawless co-stars Jessica Chastain (The Help), Mia Wasikowska (Alice in Wonderland), and Dane DeHaan (Chronicle), and is due to be released on August 31st in both the US and UK.
