Clearly capitalizing on the success of Limitless, director Neil burger has begun to line up a number of future projects; including helming Sony’s adaptation of their video game Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, and now becoming attached to a new movie about two of the world’s most famous bank robbers, Bonnie and Clyde.
The Sheldon Turner (Up in the Air) written movie (which will be adapted from the book ‘We Both Go Down Together: The True Untold Story of Bonnie and Clyde’ by Jeff Guinn) promises to be a much darker take on the material than the 1967 movie starring Warren Beatty (Dick Tracy), and will reveal many of the darker facts that were left out of that movie; such as the fact that Clyde Barrow murder a sexually abusive cell mate in prison and let somebody else take the fall for it, Bonnie Parker worked as a prostitute before teaming up with Clyde, and that the pair were only 22 when they were shot down in a hail of bullets; when the film is released at an as yet unconfirmed date.
