Fury Poster Brad PittOrganised by the British Film Institute, and running even October, The BFI London Film Festival is returning to the capital this fall, and once again the UK’s largest public film event will be delivering a collection of fantastic films for everyone to enjoy, the full line-up for which was announced earlier this afternoon.

Whilst the full festival will be screening too many films for us to list here (a total of 245 feature-length films, and 148 shorts, from an impressive 71 countries), we can tell you the festival will open with The Imitation Game (starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Kiera Knightley) on October 8th, and close on October 19th with David Ayer’s impressive looking WWII tank movie Fury (starring Brad Pitt).

Other highlights include Foxcatcher (the upcoming wrestling drama starring Channing Tatum and Steve Carrell), Jason Reitman’s Men, Women & Children, Wild (starring Reese Witherspoon), and the world premiere of Monsters: Dark Continent (a sequel to Gareth Edwards 2010 film), as well as the upcoming crime/thriller The Drop (starring Tom Hardy and James Gandolfini), a 4K restoration of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and The Salvation (a western starring Mads Mikkelsen and Eric “oh-ah” Cantona), though in a strange and somewhat disappointing decision Birdman (starring Michael Keaton) will not be featured.

You can find the full festival line-up over at the official BFI London Film Festival website, where you can purchase tickets from Thursday the 18th of September (BFI cinema members will be given early access and are able to purchase tickets from September 11th).
