Man of Steel Delayed

He may be faster than a speeding bullet, but the upcoming Superman film, Man of Steel; which is being produced by The Dark Knight’s Christopher Nolan, and is due to be directed by Sucker Punch’s Zack Snyder; won’t be hitting cinemas screens as early as expected, as it’s just had its release date pushed back by six months.

Henry Cavill (The Tudors) will be taking on the role of the Kryptonian hero (Superman), and his geeky everyday persona (Clark Kent), and will be joined by Amy Adams (The Fighter); as Lois Lane; Michael Shannon (Boardwalk Empire); as Kryptonian baddie, General Zod; Robin Hood’s Kevin Costner and Judge Dredd’s Diane Lane; as his adoptive parents, Jonathan and Martha Kent; and Russell Crowe (Gladiator); as his biological father Jor-El.

Originally scheduled to be released in December 2012, Warner Bros. have pushed the release date back to allow new writers to edit the script, and move the film away from the crowded 2012 Holiday season; which will still be populated by the likes of Django Unchanied, Lone Ranger, and The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey; so it can be released on June 14th, 2013.
