Based on Stephen Grant’s graphic novel, Universal Pictures’ upcoming movie 2 Guns; which has been scripted by Law & Order: Los Angeles’ Blake Masters; now has a major star in negotiations to take on the lead role; none other than The Fighter’s Mark Wahlberg.
Provided negotiations go well, Wahlberg will appear in one of the film’s two lead roles (though it’s yet to be disclosed which); that of a DEA agent, or an undercover naval intelligence officer, who unknowingly investigate one another, as they each steal money from the mob (and later realise the mob has had them steal millions from the CIA); and will have joined yet another project that once had his long-time collaborator David O Russell (director of The Fighter) attached; as Russell was reported to have entered talks to re-draft, and direct, 2 Guns back in January, with an eye to place Vince Vaughn (Dodgeball) in one of the leading roles; though both O Russell and Vince Vaughn have recently left the production.
