With critics and audiences alike praising the money-making-machine that is HBO’s Game Of Thrones, it was inevitable we’d see more of author George R.R. Martin’s work being adapted for the screen; next up being In The Lost Lands, which Milla Jovovich has just entered talks to star in.
Best known as Alice from the Resident Evil movies, Milla has now entered talks to star in the film which is being developed by German director Constantin Werner from several of Martin’s short stories, and would see her starring as a sorceress called Gray Alys, who’s hired by a besieged queen to enter a wasteland (The Lost Lands) and find a spell which would allow someone to transform into a werewolf.
With two other inter-linked stories in the collection seeing a warrior woman battling a dragon, and a woman in a spaceship bewitching a barbarian lass, there’s plenty of material to eventually explore, and time to do so; as given Milla’s soon to begin shooting the next (and possibly last) Resident Evil movie, it’s unlikely filming will beign until late next year.
