They’re loveable, they’re yellow, they’re without a doubt the best and funniest things about the Despicable Me films, and now the minions have been given their own spin-off movie titled, unsurprisingly, Minions; the first trailer for which can now be seen below.
Set way back in the days before the little yellow, fruit-loving, minions first met Gru (the star of the Despicable Me movies), Minions will see the height-challenged protagonists searching for a new leader (having inadvertently killed their own), and looking to serve the biggest, baddest, villain they can; the first female supervillain, Scarlett Overkill (voiced by Demonlition Man’s Sandra Bullock).
Minions is due to be released on June 26th in the UK, before making its official US release date on July 10th 2015.
