Tom Cruise (Top gun) once again leaps into the role of secret agent Ethan Hunt for the fourth installment in the Mission: impossible franchise (the first to be directed by Ratatouille’s Brad Bird); Mission: impossible – Ghost Protocol; which has just had its first trailer released online (now available to view below).
Co-starring Simon Pegg (Paul); as the returning tech-head Benji Dunn; Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker); as the IMF agent who will likely be Cruise’s successor in the series; and Tom Wilkinson (Batman Begins); as the mysterious mission-giver; Ghost Protocol sends the IMF team deep undercover after a group of terrorists blow up the Kremlin and they get fingered as the terrorists who instigated it.
Featuring a number of fairly large set pieces, action sequences, and explosions, MI:4 also stars Lost’s Josh Holloway, and Deja Vu’s Paula Patton, and is due to be released in the US on December 16th, before making its UK release date on December 26th (Boxing Day).
