Being based on the video game series of the same name (which relies far, far, more heavily on high-speed car races), no-one ever expected a Need For Speed movie to surface with too much story, yet somehow the new Need For Speed trailer suggests it won’t just be a low-rent Fast & Furious knock-off, but a worthwhile car film, with some awesome stunts and a watchable cast, and you can now catch the recently released trailer below.
With Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul taking the wheel as a blue-collar mechanic named Tobey Marshall who’s framed for manslaughter, does his time, and upon release from the clink goes looking to get his revenge on the arrogant ex-NASCAR driver who framed him (Dominic Cooper, Captain America); leading to a coast-to-coast race against time, cops, and the bounty placed on his car; Need For Speed promises an underdog tale with fast cars, big stunts, and a lot of authentic action.
Co-starring Imogen Poots (Fright Night), Michael Keaton (Batman), Dakota Johnson (21 Jump Street), Rami Malek (Night at the Museum), and Kid Cudi (30 Minutes or Less), Need For Speed has been directed by Scott Waugh (Act of Valor), and is due to be released on March 14th in both the US and UK.
