Black Mirror, the dystopian drama created by comedian Charlie Brooker, has been an indie favourite for several years. The show was able to find American audiences thanks to Netflix, and now it looks like there’s some new episodes on the cards.
According to Radio Times, talks are being finalised between Brooker and production company House of Tomorrow and they are close to announcing a deal to produce more episodes for Netflix. Brooker has already written scripts for the new run of the drama, which will surely delight the fans whose word-of-mouth helped make the show a hit among audiences.
Every Black Mirror episode has a different cast and a different setting, and the stories often involve people trying to adapt to new technologies. As you can expect from Charlie Brooker, the show is darkly satirical with themes that explore speculative ideas.
