Austin, Texas’ Fantastic Fest has already amassed an impressive roster of films. One of those set to premiere at the event is Bone Tomahawk, the new Kurt Russell horror-western, which has been given a brand new poster.
Plot details are scant, but Russell stars as one of four men who set out to the Wild West to rescue a group of captives from cave-dwelling cannibals. Making his directorial debut will be S. Craig Zahler, who has already tried his hand at horror, co-writing the script to 2011’s Asylum Blackout.
Zahler will direct his own script, and also starring will be Sean Young (Blade Runner), Patrick Wilson (The Conjuring), Matthew Fox (Lost) and Richard Jenkins (The Cabin in the Woods). Bone Tomahawk has its North American premiere at the Fantastic Fest on September 25, and will hit the London Film Festival on October 10.
