After the recent debut of the new poster (which can be seen on the right), it was merely a matter of counting down the hours until the release of the new trailer for Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens, and after ESPN’s Monday Night Football last night, the trailer made its US debut, and is now available to view below.
Thankfully ignoring the trend of many modern films and leaving plot details largely aside (though, being a Star Wars movie it can get away with doing nothing and still selling out – if you make it they will come), the new trailer doesn’t give away many details, but does show us a host of new footage.
Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Domhnall Gleeson, Andy Serkis, Gwendoline Christie and Adam Driver all join a cast of Star Wars veterans (Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Peter Mayhew, Anthony Daniels, and Carrie Fisher), for Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens; the J.J. Abrams directed film which is due to be released on December 17th in the UK (tickets are available now, but selling out fast!), one day ahead of the official US release on December 18th.
