Back in February director Ridley Scott was adamant Noomi Rapace would not be reprising her role as Elizabeth Shaw for upcoming Prometheus sequel Alien: Covenant. Now, Deadline are reporting Rapace will most definitely be appearing in Alien: Covenant.
Katherine Waterston (Inherent Vice) is still in place as the lead actress, and we know Michael Fassbender will be reprising his role as android David, though Noomi has apparently joined the production in Australia to film a week’s worth of scenes (likely making her appearance more of a cameo/flashback than anything).
Danny McBride (Your Highness), Billy Crudup (Spotlight), and Demián Bichir (The Hateful Eight) are also set to star in the Michael Green (Green Lantern) scripted film, which is due to be released on August 4th next year in the US (and will presumably secure a similar, summer 2017, release in the UK).
