As she’s now revealed that she’s expecting a baby, Elektra’s Jennifer Garner has dropped out of the upcoming indie comedy/drama Better Living Through Chemistry, and left the door open for her role to be swept up by the quickly rising star who was last seen in Cowboys & Aliens; Olivia Wilde.
Wilde’s now due to star as a trophy wife who tempts a small town chemist (played by Cowboys & Aliens co-star Sam Rockwell) into her bed with the lure of passion and the thrill of using prescription drugs, before the pair eventually hatch a plan to kill off her husband; in the film which also stars Michelle Monaghan (Source Code) as Sam’s wife, and features the voice of Judi Dench (Casino Royale) as the movie’s narrator.
Scriptwriters Geoff Moore and David Posamentir will be taking on the challenge of directing the movie that has already had a couple of cast changes (The Town’s Jeremy Renner was originally slated to appear in the Sam Rockwell role), but looks to be fairly strong (seen as how the script ended up on last year’s coveted Black List), and s due to begin shooting this autumn in Maryland.
