Known as one of the few comedy starlets that can successfully open a movie, Anna Faris (Scary Movie, The House Bunny) has just sold a brand new comedy pitch to Paramount Pictures based on an amusing incident that happened to her in real life.
Based on a funny anecdote Faris recounted to her agent and manager, plot details for the new (still untitled) comedy remain a tightly guarded secret; although it is known that the movie will eventually revolve around a nurse named Paige (played by Faris) who’s new roommate Ginny (an uncast nut-case) turns out to be the “stalker from hell.”
Faris herself will executive produce the film along with Doug Wald (‘Til Death), and will see her anecdote further developed by screenwriter Deanna Kizis (Camp Rules); who has now been hired to write the script; ahead of an unscheduled release date that could potentially be slotted into Paramount’s 2012 release schedule without too much trouble.
