Just in time for Halloween the teaser trailer for the next creepy kids film, from the makers of Coraline, ParaNorman has been released online (is now available to view below), and looks to be sticking with the same Burton-esque design and scare-factor that made their last movie such a different and endearing watch.
With voices being provided by Kodi Smit-McPhee (Let Me In), John Goodman (The Big Lebowski), Casey Affleck (Ocean’s 11), Anna Kendrick (Twilight), Leslie Mann (Knocked Up), and Christopher Mintz-Plasse (Kick-Ass), ParaNorman follows a young boy who can talk to the dead, and has to use his gift to battle a centuries old curse which sees his hometown threatened by ghosts, zombies, and grown-ups.
Another visually stunning stop-motion affair, ParaNorman has been written by Coraline’s Chris Butler; who will be co-directing with Flushed Away’s Sam Fell; and is due to receive its 3D release on August 17th 2012 in the US, before making its UK release date on September 14th 2012.
