While it was only a few days ago that a brand new poster for the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean movie (subtitled On Stranger Tides) was released, not long before that a handful of concept art images hit the net, and only late last year the official trailer was released, we’re still being treated to more goodies; as Disney have recently released three new character posters for the film (available to view below).
Featuring the iconic, eccentric, and lovable pirate Captain Jack Sparrow; once again played by Johnny Depp; his ex-flame Angelica; a hard-to-read con-artist played by series newcomer Penelope Cruz (Blow); and Sparrow’s long-time friend/enemy Captain Barbossa; once again played by Geoffrey Rush; the new posters don’t show much apart from the characters (and the occasional burning boat), but do look rather cool.
Rob Marshall’s (Chicago) On Stranger Tides also stars Ian McShane (Deadwood); as Blackbeard; Keith Richards (The Rolling Stones); as Jack’s father; and is due to be release in the U.K. on May 18th, and get its U.S. release date two days later; on May 20th; in 3D.
