For those who don’t already know, today marks the UK release of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides; the fourth installment in the ever popular Pirates of the Caribbean franchise; which once again sees Johnny Depp taking to the high seas on a swashbuckling tale of adventure, as the iconic Captain Jack Sparrow, and to celebrate the release we’ve been treated to a number of new clips and images, which are available to view below (click the images to view full-size).
First up is the first glimpse of the infamous pirate Blackbeard (Ian McShane, Deadwood); who in the film forces Jack to help him search for the Fountain of Youth; where he scares the bejesus out of his crew and makes the rigging on his ship come to life, followed by a clip of Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush, The King’s Speech) delivering an inspirational speech to his crew, and finally a clip of Jack Sparrow himself jumping off a rather large cliff.
