Aside from the stand-alone Lego DC Super Heroes DVDs (the latest of which is reviewed here), Lego Batman has proved to be such a huge hit not just on the toy shelves, but in The Lego Movie, he’s actually getting his own spin-off film, and has just had another big name join the cast; Rosario Dawson.
A comic book fan herself Sin City star Rosario Dawson appeared in last year’s Daredevil series for Netflix, and will now voice Batgirl in The Lego Batman Movie; a film with a cast which already includes Will Arnett, Michael Cera, and Zach Galifianakis (playing Batman, Robin, and The Joker respectively).
Due to be directed by Chris McKay (the animation supervisor who co-directed and co-edited The Lego Movie and was a driving force behind the Lego cinematic universe), from a script by Seth Grahame-Smith, The Lego Batman Movie is due to be released on February 10th 2017.
