Below you’ll find the new trailer for the Warren Beatty written/directed Howard Hughes film Rules Don’t Apply; where Beatty himself stars as Hollywood legend Hughes, but rests the focus on two other characters.
The crux of the story rests with aspiring actress Marla Mabery (Lily Collins, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones) and driver Frank Forbes (Alden Ehrenreich, Hail Caesar!); the pair who broke Hughes’ golden rule when they fell for one another, despite knowing no employee was permitted to enter into a relationship with a contract actress.
Things were complicated further by Marla being a devout Baptist, and Frank being engaged to his childhood sweetheart, and you’ll see how their lives were changed forever when Beatty, Collins, and Ehrenreich are joined onscreen by an all-star cast including; Haley Bennett (The Magnificent Seven); Ed Harris (The Rock); Alec Baldwin (Beetlejuice); Annette Bening (American Beauty); Martin Sheen (Apocalypse Now); Matthew Broderick (Godzilla); Steve Coogan (Philomena); and Oliver Platt (X-Men: First Class); when Rules Don’t Apply hits US theatres on November 23 (an official UK release date is yet to be announced).
