We’ve already had all the major parts filled out by a wealth of big name actors, and only just had another four names added to the ever-growing cast-list, but it appears as though Quentin Tarantino’s not finished yet; as he’s just added Sacha Baron Cohen to the list of people appearing in his upcoming western Django Unchained.
Best known for playing Borat and Ali G, Sacha Baron Cohen will play a minor yet important role in Django Unchained; which follows freed slave Django (Jamie Foxx, Ray) on his quest to free his wife Broomhilda (Kerry Washington, Ray) from the clutches of the evil ranch owner Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio, Inception).
Co-starring Christoph Waltz (Inglorious Basterds), Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction), Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Inception), Gerald McRaney (Deadwood), Kurt Russell (The Thing), Tom Savini (From Dusk Till Dawn), James Remar (Dexter), Tom Wopat (The Dukes of Hazzard), James Russo (Public Enemies), and Todd Allen (Silverado), Django Unchained is due to begin filming in January, ahead of a December 25th 2012 US release date, before being released in the UK on December 26th 2012.
