Wait – wasn’t that guy last seen in the post-apocalypse?
After announcing its premiere date of October 31st, Starz unveiled the first trailer for the upcoming TV series Ash vs Evil Dead, a spin off from the iconic horror franchise.
Bruce Campbell returns to the role of Ash and, after a brief bit of exposition about the old films, the trailer dives straight in to some new material. 30 years after the events of the original films, Ash is now being pursued by the evil forces that he battled all those years before and he must go on a mission to stop them and close the book of the dead for good.
The first season will consist of 10 episodes – all of which are 30 minutes each – and the first one will be directed by the original trilogy creator Sam Raimi.
If the trailer is anything to go by it looks as though the show is going to maintain the mix of horror and comedy that made the Evil Dead such a cult classic in the first place, with Campbell being as awesome as he always is.
