Adapted from The Spook’s Apprentice, the first book in Joseph Delaney’s best-selling series of children’s novels The Wardrobe Chronicles, Seventh Son is the upcoming fantasy action/adventure movie starring Jeff Bridges, which debuted its first footage during the 2013 ComicCon, but now has a brand new trailer available to view below.
Bridges, the Tron: Legacy star last seen in R.I.P.D., headlines the cast of Seventh Son as Master Gregory; an ageing witch-hunter training his latest apprentice, the seventh-son-of-a-seventh-son named Tom (Ben Barnes, The Chronicles of Narnia), to master his own supernatural abilities and battle the forces of evil; chiefly the witch known as Mother Malkin (Julianne More, Carrie).
Co-starring Kit Harrington (Game of Thrones’ Jon Snow), Djimon Hounsou (Guardians of the Galaxy), Olivia Williams (The Postman), and Alicia Vikander (the star of A Royal Affair, portraying Julianne Moore’s on-screen daughter), Seventh Son has been directed by Sergey Bodrov (Mongol: The Rise of Genghis Khan) and is due to be released on February 6th 2015 in both the US and UK.
