Building a brand on premise so bad, and one which is executed just as poorly, it proved to be immense fun for those who decided to join in, the SyFy channel had a huge sleeper hit with Sharknado, a still successful, though slightly less well received, hit with Sharknado 2: The Second One, and the network recently announced the premiere date for the third film in the Sharknado trilogy, Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!
Chris Regina (Senior Vice President, Program Strategy) said “Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! embraces the larger-than-life irreverence that has made these movie so popular and entertaining”, and will undoubtedly hope the film, which places returning actors Tara Reid and Ian Ziering alongside numerous guest stars (including Jerry Springer and David Hasselhoff), proves just as popular as previous instalments when it premieres on July 22nd in the US, and makes its way to a further 86 countries within 24 hours of its US premiere.
