It didn’t exactly take the mind of the super-sleuth himself to see this one coming, but Warner Bros. are banking on their upcoming Sherlock Holmes sequel; Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows; being a big success, and have already hired scribe Drew Pearce (the man who’s writing Iron Man 3) to crank out a script for Sherlock Holmes 3.
Original Sherlock director Guy Ritchie has stepped behind the camera once again for A Game of Shadows, and although there isn’t a deal in place to see him, or returning stars Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law (who play Sherlock Holmes and Watson respectively) reprise their roles for a third time, there’s every likelihood that they will make a third outing with the master detective (or at least Downey and Law will); provided that A Game of Shadows does as well as the current buzz is suggesting it will, when it’s released on December 16th in both the US and UK.
