Originally known solely as Jadotville, Netflix Original film The Siege of Jadotville is a real-life story of war and heroism, and now has its first official trailer online (available to view below).
Coming with a clear Zulu-type vibe, The Siege Of Jadotville tells the tale of an Irish UN battalion, who were besieged by 3,000 Congolese troops in 1961, under the command of French and Belgian mercenaries working for some large and influential mining companies with interests in the region.
Jamie Dornan (Fifty Shades of Grey) starts as Irish commander Patrick Quinn, and will end up butting heads with the authoritative office type played by Mark Strong (Kingsman: The Secret Service), in the film which co-stars Guillaume Canet (The Beach) and Jason O’Mara (Resident Evil: Extinction), and is due to begin streaming on Netflix from October 7.
