From the director of Once and Begin Again comes another music-oriented film called Sing Street, which sees John Carney returning to Dublin to follow a boy in the 1980s Irish music scene.
Conor loves music, and he also likes Raphina, so he puts together a band with his nerdy friends to try and impress her. He asks Raphina to star in his band’s music video to a song that doesn’t exist yet, while also trying to deal with his parents, financial problems and attending a new school.
Starring will be Aidan Gillen (Game of Thrones), Maria Doyle Kennedy (Jupiter Ascending), Jack Reynor (Transformers: Age of Extinction), Lucy Boynton (Miss Potter), Kelly Thornton and Kyle Bradley Donaldson. Sing Street is written and directed by John Carney and will be released on March 18.
