Coming from the special effects masters/directing team, the Brothers Strause (Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem), Skyline is an alien invasion movie that showcases what can happen to normal people as they get caught up in extraordinary, inter-planetary, events, and do everything they can to survive.
As two friends (portrayed by The Texas Chainsaw Massacre’s Eric Balfour, and Scrubs’ Donald Faison) attend a fairly lavish birthday party in an L.A. high rise, they discuss the future, work, kids, and other mundane lifestyle issues, as they remain fully unprepared for the events of the following day; a full scale alien invasion that threatens not only their lives, and the lives of everyone in the city, but for all they know, the entire globe.
After waking up to amazingly beautiful, yet stupefyingly dangerous blue lights; which draw in the gazes of onlooking people like moths to a flame; the friends, their partners, and a couple of other survivors left in the building try to decide how best to survive; as their friends, and literally thousands of people across the city, are being engulfed by the remorseless alien machines; trying at all times to remember that whatever you do, you Don’t Look Up.
Skyline is released on U.K. Blu-ray and DVD on March 21st (and will be released in the U.S. on the following day; March 22nd), but anyone that wants a sneak peak at the movie can watch an exclusive clip below; featuring one of the main characters battling with one of the alien machines.
