Coming from producer Michael Bay (Transformers), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has revived the heroes in a half-shell we know so well from the classic ‘80s cartoon, and brilliant 1990 movie (and its two sequels), in a brand new live action film filled with T-U-R-T-L-E- power; the trailer for which is now available to view below.

Starring Megan Fox (Transformers) as the iconic, yellow-jacket-wearing reporter April O’Neil, this new origin story will see the Turtles; Leonardo (the leader), Donatello (machine/technology expert), Raphael (he’s cool, but rude), and Michelangelo (the party dude/comedy hero); once again face-off against their arch nemesis Shredder, in the film which is due to be released in the UK later this month (following preview screenings on the 11th and 12th of October), and has already proved to be a success by flying to the top of the US Box Office when it was released there this summer.

Co-starring William Fichtner (Drive Angry), Whoopi Goldberg (Sister Act), and Will Arnett (The Lego Movie), as well as having the Turtles themselves voiced/motion-captured (as the reptilian heroes appear alongside their live-action co-stars in CGI form) by Johnny Knoxville (The Last Stand), Jeremy Howard (Galaxy Quest), Noel Fisher (Lawless), and Alan Ritchson (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire), the fan-pleasing, action-heavy, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has been directed by Jonathan Liebesman (Battle Los Angeles), from a Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec (Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol) script, and will see the world’s fearsome fighting team backed by a new score from Brian Tyler when Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles makes its official UK release date on October 17th.
