While originally reported back in June, it’s now confirmed that Expendables 2 star Sylvester Stallone has officially signed on to the upcoming boxing movie Grudge Match, and will be facing off against none other than Heat’s Robert De Niro; meaning we’ll finally get to see the Rocky Vs. Raging Bull fight we’ve all yearned for.
With the two starring as retired boxers who are tempted back into the ring to face-off against their long time rivals (each other) in a much anticipated grudge match (hence the title), the film has seen the latest draft of its script re-worked by Doug Ellin (Entourage), will be directed by Peter Segal (Get Smart), and although there’s still no official start date, or release date, as yet, should start to gain a little speed now everyone’s officially signed on.
