Adapted from the last novel by Mario Puzo (The Godfather), and telling the tale of the last great American mafia don, Omertà will soon be heading to TV and has just cast its leading man; Sylvester Stallone.

Recently nominated for an Oscar for his performance in Creed, and once upon a time considered for Godfather III, Stallone will be starring as the don himself; Raymonde Aprile; in the show which is to have its first episode directed by Antoine Fuqua (the Training Day/Equalizer director currently working on The Magnificent Seven remake), will be produced by The Weinstein Company, and likely shopped to networks in the hope of gaining a full season order.
