Last seen in the much maligned RoboCop remake, Joel Kinnaman has now entered talks to star in Warner Bros./DC Comics’ upcoming villainous ensemble movie The Suicide Squad; as a potential replacement for Tom Hardy (who recently left the project), as we now know Nightcrawler star Jake Gyllenhaal will not be stepping in.
Should Kinnaman officially sign on he’ll be taking on the role of Rick Flagg, in the David Ayer (Fury) directed movie which will feature The Joker (Jared Leto, Dallas Buyers Club), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie, The Wolf Of Wall Street), Deadshot (Will Smith, After Earth), Boomerang (Jai Courtney, Divergent), and Enchantress (Cara Delevingne, Anna Karenina), when it’s released on August 5th next year in both the US and UK.
