Whatever you think of the now official title, Tak3n, Liam Neeson will soon be seen back on the big screen as action hero Bryan Mills in the third Taken movie; and following the release of the film’s first images, the official poster and trailer were recently released online (and are now available to view on the right, and below, respectively).
Co-starring a returning Famke Janssen and Maggie Grace (as Mills’ wife and daughter respectively), Taken 3 will ditch the kidnap formula of the first two films and instead see Mills framed for a murder he didn’t commit, and going on the run from the law, and the bad guys, in an attempt to find out who’s targeting him, clear his name, and protect his daughter (though not necessarily in that order).
Forest Whitaker (Out of the Furnace) joins the cast as the lawman tasked with capturing Mills (and replicating his infamous phone-manner/monologue), in the film which will once again be directed by Olivier Megaton, from a Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen script, and is due to be released on January 8th in the UK, before making it’s official US release date the following day (on january 9th).
