Coming from Seth MacFarlane (the creator and voice behind Family Guy) Ted tells the tale of a boy who wished his favourite cuddly teddy bear would come to life and keep him company; picking up the story after the boy’s fully grown-up, and Ted has become a sex-obsessed, drug-taking, little potty-mouth who’s still hanging around.
Mark Wahlberg (The Fighter) stars as John (the aforementioned boy), who attempts to start a new relationship with Lori (Mila Kunis, Friends With Benefits), but soon finds living with Ted (who’s been motion-captured from MacFarlane himself, and uses his voice talents) has a habit of getting in the way and making things just a little awkward.
Co-starring Giovanni Ribisi (Avatar), Joel McHale (Community), and Laura Vandervoort (V), Ted is due to be released on July 13th in the US, and will make its UK release date the following month; on August 3rd.
