We’ve known for sometime that there was going to be a new Terminator movie, and since it was one of the hottest properties lauded over Arnold Schwarzenegger’s return to acting (following his time-out to become Governor of California), fans have been waiting with bated breath, and reserved hope for the upcoming franchise reboot, now officially known as Terminator: Genisys.
With the subtitle announcement coming via a photo uploaded to Schwarzenegger’s personal Instagram account (seen on the right), there’s still very little known about the 5th movie in the Terminator franchise, which has been directed by Alan Taylor (Thor: The Dark World), co-stars Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), Jai Courtney (I, Frankenstein), Jason Clarke (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes), JK Simmons (Spider-Man), Byung-hun Lee (GI Joe: Retaliation), and Matt Smith (Doctor Who), and is due to be released on June 26th 2015, before making its official US release date on July 1st 2015.
The following, accompanied the debut of the picture from Arnold:
Hasta la vista, baby. I want to thank the cast and crew of @TerminatorGenisys for a fantastic shoot. It was challenging, it was fun, and it was rewarding. From our director to the producers, from the camera team to catering, from visual effects to hair and makeup – we couldn’t have done it without you. I can’t wait to see our finished project and I know we’ll remind the fans why they fell in love with the Terminator. On July 1, 2015, I’ll be back.
