It might not give anything away, or even contain a single image of any of its rather impressive ensemble cast, and their superhero characters, but Marvel have just released the first teaser poster for their upcoming superhero crossover movie, The Avengers, which can now be seen below.
Featuring the likes of Chris Evans; as Captain America (from the soon to be released Captain America: The First Avenger); Robert Downey Jr.; as Iron Man (from Iron Man and Iron Man 2); Scarlett Johansson; as Black Widow (from Iron Man 2); Chris Hemsworth; as Thor (from Thor); Samuel L. Jackson; as Nick Fury (from the Iron Man movies); Jeremy Renner; as Hawkeye (from Thor); and Mark Ruffalo; as Bruce Banner (the character best known as The Incredible Hulk); the Joss Whedon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) directed movie promises plenty of spectacle when it’s released on May 4th next year, in both the UK and US, and is rumoured to have its first trailer debuting at this year’s Comic-Con (a leaked version of which may or may not already be floating around the internet).
