Boasting an amazing cast list; headed by Desperado’s Antonio Banderas (who will soon be heard, but not seen, in the Shrek spin-off Puss in Boots); The Big Bang has just had its first official trailer released online (which is now available to view below).
The film noir style movie places Banderas at the head of a cast that includes Snoop Dogg (Starsky and Hutch), Robert Maillet (Sherlock Holmes), Sam Elliott (Tombstone), William Fichtner (Drive Angry), Delroy Lindo (Broken Arrow), Sienna Guillory (Love Actually), and even James Van Der Beek (the Dawson’s Creek star who will uncharacteristically appear as a kinky, spoiled, actor), as private investigator Ned Cruz; who’s hired to track down a missing stripper.
Along the way Cruz will cross paths with a porn director named Puss (Dogg), a billionaire conducting a massive physics experiment (Elliott), and a number of other strippers and villains in the Tony Krantz (Otis) directed movie that’s been scripted by Band of Brothers alumni Eric Jendresen.
Sounding like a project that would be perfect for the likes of Quentin Tarantino (Inglorious Basterds) or Robert Rodriguez (Machete), The Big Bangcould either become a massively fun romp in film noir territory, or an abysmal failure, when it’s released in the US on May 13th, and hopefully gets a UK release sometime later this year.
