It seems as though Dan Aykroyd’s extremely keen to revisit his glory days at the minute; as he’s not only been talking up the potential storyline, and start date for a third Ghostbusters outing, but is also looking into the possibility of adapting The Blues Brothers for TV.

Aykroyd has apparently written a pilot script (along with former Saturday Night Live writer Anne Beatts, Wayne Catania, and Kieron Lafferty) which is currently being shopped around various American TV networks, and will see Jake and Elwood fresh from a stint in jail, and on the hunt for Elwood’s real father.

New actors would need to be found to fill the iconic roles once occupied by Dan (Elwood) and John Belushi (Jake), although Aykroyd will is planning on playing the pair’s parole officer in the show that, should it get picked up, will reportedly introduce The Blues Brothers as new characters, but also aim give them a sense of history.
