Shortly after the original teaser trailer was leaked online ahead of schedule, the official (tamer, but non-shaky-cam) teaser trailer, for the upcoming remake of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, was released (is now available to view below), and now we also have an extremely racy new poster for the film, which can be viewed on the right, and seen even larger beneath the trailer.
Adapted from the best-selling Steig Larsson trilogy, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo forms the first part of an epic thriller revolving around a hacker named Lisbeth Salander (Rooney Mara, The Social Network); the role first portrayed by Noomi Rapace (in the Swedish version of the trilogy); and the events and conspiracy that begin to unfold as she helps a journalist named Mikael Blomkvist (Daniel Craig, Casino Royale)in his search for a missing woman.
The upcoming remake has been written be Steve Zaillian (American Gangster), directed by David Fincher (Fight Club), also stars Stellan Skarsgard (Good Will Hunting) and Robin Wright (Forrest Gump), and is due to be release in the US on December 21st, before making it’s UK release date on December 26th, and becoming “the feel-bad movie of Christmas.”
