Yes, after a full 266 day shoot, principal photography has finally wrapped on Peter Jackson’s upcoming Lord of the Rings prequel movies, The Hobbit; bringing the next (or actually the first) chapter in the history of Middle Earth that Tolkien fans know so well, that one step closer to the big screen.
After beginning filming on the 20th of March 2011, The Hobbit will have its tale split over two movies; The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, and The Hobbit: There And Back Again; and will now find its footage journeying over to the editing room, and Comic-Con, before the first film is released this December, and the second film is released in December next year.
