Dubbed as being “sexually violent and potentially obscene” by the British Board of Film Classification (the BBFC) Tom Six’s follow-up to his grotesque 2009 horror movie, The Human Centipede; The Human Centipede II: Full Sequence; has received an outright ban in the UK, and seems to be heavily courting the publicity that has brought in its new international teaser trailer (available to view below).
The trailer is a teaser in every sense of the word, relying more on reactions and the ‘negative’ publicity its received so far in order to push the limits, and let fans of this type of horror movie know that they are in for a truly sickening experience should they watch the film in either its edited US release, or the shockingly uncut Australian release.
Yet while viewers in the UK are able to watch the newly released teaser, they will have to step outside the usual channels in order to fully experience The Human Centipede II; a film which was so obscene it couldn’t be saved by cuts for a British release; but can find a detailed reasoning for the BBFC’s ban on the film, here.
