Brooklyn’s Finest follows three NYPD cops from extremely different backgrounds and locations; a force veteran who’s only a week away from retirement, an undercover agent who’s idea of right and wrong (along with his loyalties) are beginning to blur, and a young cop who’s as corrupt and, moral-less, as the day is long; while their actions and choices become intertwined, and lead to an impressive climax.

The Bounty Hunter

A down-on-his-luck bounty hunter, named Milo Boyd, gets his dream job, when he is assigned to track down and arrest his ex-wife Nicole; a woman who is always trying to on-up her ex-partner, and might just be on the verge of uncovering a conspiracy that will have both her and Milo desperately running for their lives.

An elite Special Forces unit are sent on a search and destroy mission into the Bolivian jungle, but soon find out that have been doubled crossed and targeted for death; using the fact that they are presumed dead, the team then goes deep undercover in an effort to undercover the reason behind their set-up, clear their names, and even the score with a powerful enemy known only as Max.

Cop Out

Cop Out is the first film directed by Kevin Smith (Clerks) that he didn’t write, and follows two bickering Brooklyn cops as they get suspended, and have to hunt for the stolen, mint-condition, 1952, baseball card that was supposed to be sold in order to pay for an upcoming wedding, and leads them into a war with a deadly drug cartel.

Clash of the Titans (2010)

Stars: Sam Worthington (Avatar), Liam Neeson (The A-Team), Ralph Fiennes (Red Dragon), Gemma Arterton (Prince of Persia)

Remade from the 1981 classic, Clash of the Titans sees the mortal, half-god, Perseus (who was the result of one of Zeus’ many affairs) undertaking a series of perilously dangerous quests (including fighting a giant scorpion, a half-snake lade named Medusa, and the giant sea-dwelling Kraken) in order to stop Hades spreading evil all over the Earth, and even conquering the heavens.

Johnny Handsome

Classification: R

Stars: Mickey Rourke (The Wrestler), Morgan Freeman (Invictus), Forest Whitaker (Repo Men), Lance Henriksen (Aliens)

John Sedley’s a petty gangster who’s never amounted to anything, and always been belittled by those around him because of his horrific facial deformities (which have earned him the nickname Johnny Handsome), but when Johnny and his only friend are doubled crossed during a robbery, and he ends up in prison, a sympathetic surgeon takes a liking to him, and offers him a new face, and a new chance at life; a life which Johnny is keen to try out, but not before avenging the wrongs done to him and his friend.

Fanboys

It’s 1998, and four childhood friends with an unhealthy obsession for anything and everything Star Wars reunite, and hatch a plan to road-trip across the country, storm the infamous George Lucas Skywalker Ranch, and steal a copy of Episode I (better known as the Phantom Menace) before it can be released.

Rambo: Extended Cut

Stars: Sylvester Stallone (Rocky), Julie Benz (The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day), Paul Schulze (The Sopranos), Graham McTavish (Middle Men)

The disheveled Vietnam Veteran John Rambo; a war-weary ex-Green Beret; has left his former life as far behind as possible and is attempting to live a quiet life in Thailand near the Burmese border, until a group of christian humanitarians ask him to take them down river (to provide aid to to war-torn Burma), get kidnapped, and wait for Rambo to rescue them, and take on the Burmese army.

A re-release of the 2008 film, with several minutes of extra footage included in the movie, as part of Sylvester Stallone’s director’s cut.
