Best on the Jo Nesbø bestseller of the same name, one of his series of Harry Hole novels, The Snowman is an intricate thriller which pits a unique serial killer against an uncompromising Oslo detective. As seen in The Snowman official trailer below.
Michael Fassbender (X-Men: Days of Future Past) stars as said detective; a drunk, loner, investigating a missing persons case which leads him to a snowman with a rather striking original feature, and down a puzzling path where it’s clear a returning serial killer is not only enjoying the chase, but actively toying with the police.
Rebecca Ferguson (Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation), J.K. Simmons (Whiplash), Charlotte Gainsbourg (Melancholia), James D’Arcy (Let’s Be Cops), Toby Jones (Captain America: The First Avenger), Chloë Sevigny (Bloodline), and Val Kilmer (Batman Forever) all co-star in the Tomas Alfredson (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy) directed film which is due to be released on October 13th in the UK, before making its official US release date on October 20th.
