A Remake of the chilling 1976 horror movie, The Town That Dreaded Sundown actually appears to be more of a straight (extremely late) sequel, and sees a prolific serial killer possibly returning to a sleepy town (locals argue over whether the killer has returned 66 years later, if he’s a ghost, a demon, or a simple copycat), killing the town’s teenagers; as seen in the trailer below.
Film fans will appreciate the trailer as much as anything for seeing the Orion Pictures logo for the first time since 1998, and will get to experience the Alfonso Gomez-Rejon (American Horror Story) directed movie starring Addison Timlin (Stand Up Guys), Gary Cole (Office Space), and Denis O’Hare (Dallas Buyers Club) when it’s screened at the London Film Festival on October 14th, and makes its official US release date on October 16th (just in time for Halloween).
