Clearly wanting to move on to more dramatic and serious roles, former Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe (who actually played Harry himself) is set to star in the upcoming horror movie The Woman in Black; from legendary horror studio Hammer Films and Momentum Pictures; which has just had its first teaser trailer released online (now available to view below).
Hosting the first panel of Kapow! Comic-Con’s second day in London, the Momentum showcase unveiled the moody teaser trailer which doesn’t provide much information, or give a real look at the plot, but certainly creates a good deal of intrigue for this remake of the classic Susan Hill novel.
Being written by Kick-Ass screenwriter Jane Goldman, and directed by Eden Lake’s James Watkins, The Woman in Black will be a remake of the 1989 film about a young lawyer who travels to sort out the papers of a recently deceased client, and begins to catch glimpses of a mysterious woman dressed only in black, as he works alone in the isolated house.
Momentum also announced the release date for the eagerly anticipated horror, which also stars Cirian Hinds (Rome) and Janet McTeer (Tumbleweeds), and is due to grace UK cinema screens on February 10th 2012, and will presumably gain a US release at an as yet unconfirmed date.
