Based on the John Le Carre novel, Tomas Alfredson’s (Let the Right One In) Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy is a spy film with a completely different tone to that of the upcoming Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol (focussing on intellect and espionage rather than explosions and jumping off tall buildings), and has just had its first trailer released online (which is now available to view below).
With an all-star cast that includes Gary Oldman (The Dark Knight), Benedict Cumberbatch (Atonement), Mark Strong (Sherlock Holmes), Colin Firth (The King’s Speech), Tom Hardy (Inception), Cirian Hinds (Rome), and Stephen Graham (Boardwalk Empire), Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy is a spy tale set during the Cold War; focussing on the efforts of one man attempting to root out a KGB mole from within the confines of MI6; and is due to be released in the UK on September 16th, before making its way into US theaters on November 18th.
