The Final Girls, a horror-comedy favourite on the festival circuit, has been given a brand new trailer.
Taissa Farmiga (The Bling Ring) plays Max, who is grieving the loss of her mother, a famous 1980s scream queen. When she’s mysteriously transported, along with her friends, into one of her mother’s films, Max reunites with her mum, and together with her friends, they must fight the crazy machete-wielding killer and find a way to escape the film.
Also starring is Nina Dobrev (The Vampire Diaries), Alexander Ludwig (The Hunger Games), Malin Akerman (Watchmen), Alia Shawkat (Arrested Development) and Adam DeVine (Workaholics). Todd Strauss-Schulson will be directing from a screenplay by M.A. Fortin and Joshua John Miller (Near Dark).
The Final Girls will hit US theatres on October 9, and will be released on DVD in the UK on October 12.
